Rooftop solar assessment tool out of MIT

An MIT team recently created a rooftop solar assessment tool and has licensed it to a startup at Mapdwell.com. The tool uses 3D mapping technology to determine the viability of every rooftop in a few communities where it is currently available. Those communities include: Wellfleet, Cambridge and Boston in Massachusetts, Washington, D.C., and Washington County, OR. The tool seems much like one offered by Geostellar which brings commercial mapping tools used by companies like Sungevity, SunRun and SolarCity to regular consumers.

If you’re in any of the areas listed above, you can look into the potential of your roof! Solar-System-MIT
