SolarDay 2010

Solar Day 2010Raising awareness about the benefits of solar energy is the main mission of Residential Solar 101 and the organizers of this years SolarDay 2010, which will be held on June 19 this year.

If the United States is going to achieve energy independence then we will need to drive the adoption of all forms of renewable energy in both large and small scales. Solar energy is probably one of the most accessible renewable energy sources that nearly every U.S homeowner can get involved in. Going solar will not only help the U.S ween itself off its dependence on fossil fuels but it will help you save money on your electricity bill, protect you from future electricity rate increases and increase the value and marketability of your home. For a more detailed summary of why you should consider solar read this.

SolarDay 2010 will include local events throughout the U.S. publicizing renewable energy programs and we encourage you to get out in your community and take part. To find out if there are events scheduled in your community take a look at the list below or check the SolarDay website for updated event details.
